I am writing for a friend/co-worker. She is 20 weeks pregnant and is struggling really bad. At 10 weeks into her pregnancy she had complications and to keep a long story short: she found out that she has a genetic disorder that can cause pre-eclampsia, miscarraiges, slowed fetal development, etc. She was put on bedrest. She is torn because she has been trying for this baby for over a year and wants to be happy but she cannot afford to be off work. Now that she has been off for a few months, she has exausted all of her PTO time and is now without pay. Not only is she not receiving her paycheck but she is also noq required to pay the premium for our company sponsored health insurance. If there is anything that anyone can do to help, please let me know. I'm not asking for you to give her cash. I can provide you with information to directly pay a bill, if you are able to do that. (The most important one right now is the medical insurance, so she can continue care for her and the baby during her high-risk pregnancy.) If you are not able to help financially, please keep her in your prayers for the health of both her and the baby (she is at risk during delivery because of her disorder) and for her financial situation (her stressing over this is not good for the baby).
